Nowadays, what the architecture and design processes suffer from is the lack of a dynamic system, which is the indicator of selection criteria. The system ensures the architect that all related criteria are involved in the design to organize the hierarchy of relation among design components. Achieving such process requires the comprehensive balance in its components that continuously impress all criteria effects at any condition. The growth process in nature is a comprehensive process, which has such dynamic system. Consequently, we treat nature as an inspiration.
To investigate and knowing the behavior of nature, main constituent of it, i.e., patterns, are evaluated. The quality of pattern formation and replying to all natural context requirements, is applicable into the architectural design process. Analyzing struggle behavior of patterns in balancing and investigating their physical properties, one can find the fundamentals of sustainable processes. We should consider the patterns from the natural selections, evolution, and balance viewpoints to attain the natural behavior qualities. Learning these qualities will assist us in translating the language of nature creation into the comprehensive language of architectural design.
Therefore, the final goal of exploration in natural patterns is to extract the process structure, in order to behave like nature optimally and design like it. This article deals with the investigation on patterns and behavior of nature in balancing the forces and changing them into the language of architectural design process.
