The paper proposes a methodology for styling product variants on the basis of celebrity personality. The methodology is explained with reference to a design project conducted with 20 industrial design students at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, for exhibiting at the Auto Expo 2010. The students were asked to select a celebrity personality and restyle the Tata Nano to match with the selected personality. The paper illustrates the methodology adopted in this study with reference to 20 new Nano styles which were created by students.
