The design process based on design thinking represents a radical change in the way of doing business, and this can help to bring the design to different levels at the organization, becoming a tool for the organization’s differentiation. This article aims to relate the design process (Jones, 1978) which presents steps, while Brown (2009) determines the subdivisions of the design process as spaces, removing its limits and discusses the methodological studies focused on the strategic design process and personal knowledge’s system (Martin, 2009) of the designer. It presents a design process, with the design thinking approach, illustrating it with a case study conducted in the family farming sector, developed by UEL (State University of Londrina) in conjunction with the Factory Farmer’s Program, of the Agriculture and Supply’s Ministry, managed by EMATER.
